MASL ANNOUNCES SECOND CENTRAL CUP PRESEASON EVENT

Wichita, Kansas (September 23, 2021) – Four teams from the Major Arena Soccer League and MASL2 will participate in the second Central Cup pre-season event, the teams announced today. The Kansas City Comets, St. Louis Ambush, Wichita Wings and Omaha Kings FC are the participating teams.

The Wichita Wings will use the event as the final phase to the 2021 tryouts which will be held on October 16-17. 

"Players who make it through the tryout process for the 2021-2022 roster will likely be on display for an opportunity to showcase themselves at a high level," says Wichita Wings President Blake Shumaker. "Training camp is set to begin immediately after this event, so this evaluation period is coming at a great time before league play begins." 

The preseason event is slated for November 12 and 13, 2021 according to the following schedule:

November 12, 2021: Wichita Wings at Kansas City Comets at 7:05 p.m. CT

November 12, 2021: Omaha Kings FC at St. Louis Ambush at 7:35 p.m. CT

November 13, 2021: Kansas City Comets vs Omaha Kings FC at the Family Arena at 3:30 p.m. CT

November 13, 2021: Wichita Wings at St. Louis Ambush at 7:05 p.m. CT

The 2021-2022 regular season schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks, with a start date in December 2021.
