MAJOR ARENA SOCCER LEAGUE MASL ANNOUNCES NEW MATCH BALL

MAJOR ARENA SOCCER LEAGUE MASL Announces New Match Ball Partnership with Flite Sports

(December, 4, 2020) SAN DIEGO, CA-- The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today a new partnership with Flite Sports for the 2020-2021 season. The Flite Sports brand will provide the Official Match Ball for the MASL.

“We are excited to partner with a rising brand in Flite,” said MASL commissioner Joshua Schaub, “We believe this is another step forward for arena soccer and should be exciting for players and fans alike.”

Flite also becomes the Official Match Ball of MASL2 (M2) and MASL3 (M3) while also offering replica balls and custom balls for each team in the league.

In order to showcase their new partnership, Flite has custom-created one hundred new balls for the MASL All-Star Game, to be played on Saturday, December 5 at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri.

The Flite ball was specifically created for the indoor game, to withstand the rigors and punishment from arena soccer. The boards and turf can rip open seams and destroy a normal outdoor soccer ball quickly. Linking up with MASL star Brian Farber, a former league MVP who has previously worked in the past eight years as the manager of the Puma soccer line and the creator of the SKLZ soccer line, was an opportunity for the Flite innovation team to help design and create an optimal product for the sport.

“Creating the perfect ball for arena soccer is a passion project for me,” said Farber, “I’ve spoken to over 75 professional players from the MISL, PASL and MASL to determine the best attributes and qualities for an indoor ball. I even had the ball from my first-ever MISL goal cut apart and tested to copy the construction of the inner layers. It hurt, but I couldn’t stop until the ball was perfect.”

Years of research and development now lead to the Flite Sports MASL Official Match Ball, the highest level of technology the league has ever seen. Additionally, Flite is creating custom balls for each MASL franchise, replica balls to be sold in team stores, and more cooperative ventures to be announced. While these plans were slowed by the COVID-19 epidemic, with the Official Match Balls ready to roll, look for a fuller integration in the coming weeks and months.

Flite will work with the MASL and its member teams to distribute and market league-branded items direct to consumers through team sales, e-commerce and retail outlets.

The 2020-2021 MASL Season is set to kick off as soon as December 31, 2020, with eleven teams participating in the United States.

ABOUT FLITE Flite was created in 2015 as a way to allow underserved teams, coaches and most importantly players, a

way to play with high end equipment at an affordable cost. Keith Miller, founder and CEO, was a youth soccer coach at the time, at one of the biggest youth clubs in the US serving, arguably the most talent rich area in the states, San Diego. The need for players to train and develop with quality equipment was a must.

A former D1 soccer player, Keith was dedicated to providing ample opportunity to as many young players as he could whether by coaching or providing this affordable equipment. The brand story name was pretty simple; Keith and a friend took the first prototype of the ball out to kick around and friend, Brett Wagner, made a simple comment "Oh, it's got a nice flight to it" and there began the Flite journey.

After countless programs started using and loving, what has now become the common way to describe them, "Flite balls", Flite uniforms and Flite Gear was getting asked about and sparked the creation of the teamwear line.

The unparalleled quality of the product, design service and affordable price coupled with the chilling brand message, makes Flite a very alluring option for clubs and programs that want to push the envelope and literally leave their stamp on the pitch.
